For the Christmas Set starter, we had Fish Carpaccio with lemon dressing, avocado purée & pink grapefruit. The fish carpaccio were fresh. The lemon dressing was refreshing unlike other dressings. I loved the avocado puree.
Tagliolini in brodo di capone e funghi porcini (RM32)
The first entree was Home made tagliolini in capon broth, Grana Padano & porcini mushrooms. It’s actually pasta in rooster broth ? However, I only tasted celery in it hehehe. The broth was actually very flavourful, probably I got distracted because of the celery (btw I hate celery :p)
Tortelli di zucca e amaretti, fonduta di fontina e carpaccio di fegato d’anatra (RM46)
For the second entree, Home made tortelli stuffed with pumpkin and amaretti on Fontina cheese fondue & foie gras. The dish was wonderful, I loved the stuffed pasta with the pumpkin and it tasted so good with the sauce and foie gras. It had a very unique flavour which I don’t know how to describe. Best to try it yourself !:P
Medaglione di merluzzo, frutti di mare e funghi di bosco al vino bianco in carta fata (RM84)
For main, Christmas bag of seafood, cod fish, Hokkaido scallop, wild mushrooms in white wine sauce. The head chef himself offered to open this beauty for us, haha was a bit flattered. Anyways, the cod fish was spectacular, it was sooo fresh. Probably one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The Hokkaido scallop was so sweet, it was so delectable. This bag was really like a very nice hot delicious Christmas gift haha.
Panettone semifreddo con gelato di pistacchio, cannolo alla ricotta,
salsa vaniglia e amarene (RM34)
For dessert we had, Panettone semifreddo with pistacchio ice cream, cannolo with ricotta cheese, vanilla sauce & amarena. Ermmm, probably we were not a fan of the panettone semifreddo (smth like fruitcake?) as we are not Italian haha and I actually thought that the pistacchio ice cream was green tea ice cream heh. So yeah, probably I was just not used to it. The amarena (cherry) was bitter, not how I like it to be. Dessert was okay.
