Shin Nihon is always my favorite Japanese to satisfy my Yakiniku cravings. It’s definitely a great place to enjoy wagyu beef cuisine. I like how they label the meat parts so that customers will know which part they like the most.

This restaurant has no signboard but a golden bull head situated right above guardian. Incredibly fresh and high quality wagyu beef. Omakase sushi and wagyu Claypot rice were really on point!

This little gem is discreetly located amongst a row of shop lots in Hartamas. It has quite the Tokyo vibe. Skewers, gyoza and beer are the main attractions here. Suntory premium beer is also available here!

The Butcher’s Table This restaurant specializes in pork dishes ranging from roast pork, pork chops and a variety of sausages. Their German bottled beer selection here is pretty good too.

Marta’s Kitchen
It’s a great place for Spanish food.
Garlic butter prawns is probably one of the best tapas here as the prawns are huge. Churros was cooked perfectly and paired up well with the choco-caramel sauce.

Buldojang
Jajangmyun is a must-order here and the noodles was al dente. Besides, Tang Suyuk was pretty as the pork was still crispy even after it is coated with the sweet and sour sauce.

Mei By Fat Spoon
Mei, meaning beautiful in mandarin, is a reflection of the space that Mei’s team creates – a clean white canvas. Mei focuses in making heart-warming Japanese-inspired meals and healthy juices for the everyday diner. Cempedak spring rolls served with vanilla ice cream was amazingly delicious! The spring rolls were fried right before it was served and the cempedak filling was generous. Sago pudding served with Last Polka’s Salted Gula Melaka ice cream was scrumptious too! The gula melaka was really concentrated.

Rubberduck is a vibrant alfresco patisserie cafe located in the heart of Sri Hartamas. Upon stepping in, you’ll be greeted by the smell of freshly baked cakes and pastries. Rubberduck is always my go-to place for smoothie bowls!

Don Don Korean BBQ
It’s a small joint at a corner shop serving bbq pork intestines! Their side dishes are really good especially their japchae (sweet and savory dish of stir-fried glass noodles) but it’s not refillable. Steamed eggs and kimchi stew are included in the side dishes as well.

One of the authentic Korean joints in Kuala Lumpur. It has a few outlets in Klang Valley. Meat is consistently good and the staffs will grill the meat for you.
