Cantaloupe is one of KL’s leading destination for delicate cuisine with a view. It has opened at the iconic building, The Troika, overlooking the picturesque KL Twin Towers and the lush green KLCC park. The dining room at Cantaloupe was designed by an infamous interior designers from Melbourne which allows one to enjoy the city’s skyline in panoramic views. The menu is specially crafted with fine dishes and flavours made with integrity and passion.
King Crab
King crab, baby romaine lettuce, wasabi mayo, brioche, avruga caviar, rock chives. The king crab was sweet, succulent and absolutely delicious.
Cured Australian Scampi
Cured scampi, salmon roe, salted egg mayo, egg yolk powder, coriander puree, baby coriander, petit-pois. Scampi was succulent and fresh with a hint of natural sweetness, pairs up amazingly with the slightly salty salted egg yolk powder and lush green coriander puree.
Lobster & Scallop
Aqua pazza, crushed basil, pine nut mayo, scallop foam, baby zucchini flower, borage cress. Huge scallop seared to perfection and topped with scallop foam. Lobster, on the other hand, was fresh and palatable. Very elegant presentation.
Smoked Salmon
Smoked salmon, salmon roe, potato confit, compressed cucumber, crème fraîche, dill custard. Salmon was flavourful and smoked to perfection. A feast for both the eyes and palate indeed.
Wagyu Sirloin
Wagyu ala plancha, asparagus, shaved button mushroom, black garlic sabayon, artichoke crisp, potato purée. Waygu was tender and marinate was spot on. Asparagus was cooked well which compliments the wagyu perfectly without making the meal overly oily. The flavour from black garlic sabayon is unforgettable.
Saltbush Lamb
Roasted lamb loin, braised shoulder, celeriac cream, eringi mushroom, baby spinach, dehydrated lamb fat. The roasted lamb was savory and packs a punch of amazing flavours which will tantalize your tastebuds.
Duck Confit
Duck confit, mashed potato, crispy potatoes, mustard sauce. Crispy crackling duck skin with tender duck meat on the inside. Not too dry but very flavoursome. This could easily be one of the best duck confit I’ve ever savoured. Mash was creamy and spot on. Lovely way to present the crispy potato slices.
Yuzu Watermelon & Miso
Miso rocks, yuzu & watermelon sorbet, compressed watermelon, caramel miso cashew nut.
