LOKL Coffee Co

LOKL is a neighbourhood cafe with an internal courtyard situated in historic heart of KL. Parking is indeed a problem. I had a hard time searching for the parking. Do avoid peek hours as the roads would be pretty congested.

I dropped by during the peek hours as you can see from the pic. A huge crowd isn't it?

Weekdays special menu are scribbled on the wall.

Beautiful Salad (RM18) with smoked salmon (+RM8.50)
A platter of romaine, mandarin oranges, cranberries & honey-roasted almond slices in a vinagrette dressing. A salad with an oriental twist. Smoked salmon was really good and the fresh salad was the highlight.

Beef Burger Brioche (RM29.50)
Beef & bacon patty, spinach in bechamel sauce & caramelized onions in toasted brioche. I was quite surprised that they use the normal bread instead of the typical burger buns. Anyway, their beef patty was juicy and delectable.

Buttermilk Chicken Chop (Rm25.50) with onion gravy, creamed spinach & corn bread. The onion gravy was not my liking. However, the chicken chop was really awesome. It was very crunchy and it's nice to eat either without the gravy. Buttermilk was sufficient enough to enhance the fried chicken.
