Fat Spoon @ Uptown

Fat Spoon claims themselves that they provide Grandma's recipe with a playful twist. It's located along the same row as The Good Batch.

The interior set up was so antique-styled. Olden days Chinese hipster :P

Homemade Popiah comes with 2 pieces. It was served in a hot pan thus maintaining the warmth of the popiah. Generous amount of fillings.

Ulam Fried Rice with Curry Chicken (RM13)
Wok-fried rice with sambal & aromatic herbs served with curry chicken, belacan long beans & pappadum. They actually fry the rice with herbs, exuding a minty aroma. For me, it would be better to eat the curry chicken with white rice.

Tamarind Prawn Angel Hair Pasta (RM17). Angel hair pasta with their signature tamarind assam prawns, coriander & ginger flower. This dish was quite disappointing. The prawns weren't really fresh. Not a fan of their tamarind sauce, as it was a little too sour to serve as a sauce for the pasta.

Above is Lemongrass and pandan leaves tea (RM7.90) which served in a pot.
Below is Cempedak Spring Rolls (RM12) served with vanilla ice cream. The spring rolls are fried right before it is served. Served in a hot pan as well. The cempedak filling was generous, pairing up well with the ice cream.  Something you should really try.

Sago Pudding (RM10)
served with Last Polka's Salted Gula Melaka ice cream. It was scrumptious! The gula melaka was really concentrated, paired up well with the sago and ice cream. Definitely recommended.
