Monkey Garage At Bangsar

Monkey Garage is the third hidden gem in Bangsar. It is a cafe and bar located at the end of Jalan Maarof, Bangsar. It is between Toyota Showroom and Regal Valet. The cafe serves mostly Malaysian flavours. The ambience is quite cool. They have racing gears and equipment up the wall which suits well with the fact that they locate next to a showroom haha.

The desserts

A starter (Soup) would be served for everyone who orders a meal. This is the Chinese Chicken Herbal Soup with Truffle Oil. The soup is sour with small pieces of chicken in it.
I guess it would be better if it is not sour.

This is their signature Siew Yok with spaghetti with Homemade Wasabi Honey Mustard Sauce (RM18). It took quite a long time for the chef to cook this. Therefore, patience is the key. for me, the spaghetti is quite different from the others I had before, I prefer the typical angle hair , if I was to have a finer spaghetti . The Siew Yok was well cooked, and it is more delectable when you eat the Siew Yok with the sauce.

This is their signature Har Mi Capellini Pasta and Garlic Prawn served with homemade dried shrimp Sambal Balacan(RM25). It comes with Capellini Pasta, dried shrimp infused olive oil, shrimp floss, prawn, half boiled eggs and lemon. For me, this dish didn't really tingle my taste bud. The dried shimp sense was way too strong. I would prefer the typical kind(hawker style) of Har Mi. But if you wants to try out something new, one could give a try. No harm trying, teehee.

Overall, the ambience is unique but the food is kinda overpriced. However, the air ventilation is quite bad sort to say ? as the quality of the air was not so good :|  It kinda wreak with oil and smoke. Hopefully they will take note on customer feedback if they want to provide a better atmosphere.
